Our Booking PolicyRiders must be aged 2 and up to a weight limit of 10stone/63kg. A booking is required for each rider. We must receive a rider registration form on your FIRST booking with us, for each rider. All visitors must have read our Rider Agreement Form.

Services

Woodland Walk

30 mins£28

Total experience time: 30 minutes.

Our ponies are suitable for age 2 and up to a weight limit of 10stone.
No experience necessary, as our staff will lead you through the heart of Thetford Forest.
Longer treks available by request. Spectators welcome to accompany the walk.

We recommend wearing clothing with covered arms/legs. Closed toe footwear should be worn by all riders/spectators. We have a limited range of riding boots for loan.

We provide riding hats conforming to the latest safety standards, hold a 5* Licence from the Local Authority, and are fully insured against liability. Staff hold certificates in first aid and safeguarding children in sport. All staff have current DBS checks.

Pony Care and Ride Session

45 mins£33

Meet and Greet your pony. Spend 15 Minutes learning to brush and care for your pony followed by a 30 minute ride in the woods. Spectators welcome to accompany the walk.

Toddler Trek

20 mins£18

Meet and greet you pony, followed by a 20 minute ride through the forest. Pony will be led by staff. Ideal for younger children, aged 2 and up. Spectators are welcome to accompany the walk.

*Please contact us to availability, booking and tailoring your party package*

1 hours session for up to 8children with 4 of our ponies. Bespoke party package, which can include grooming the ponies, games on horseback in our schooling area, mini lessons and woodland rides. Each child can be presented with a well done rosette.

Our forest cabin can also be hired for your party or picnic for an additional £20. With small kitchenette and seating for up to 10 people. Total session time with cabin is 2hours.

Lessons/Events

Pony Fun Day

5 hrs£50

Age 7+. No experience necessary. Drop off 10am. Pick up at 3pm.

Spend the day with our gorgeous ponies. Learn all about their daily routine, and all aspects of pony care. Plus two rides throughout the day. Every day is different and tailored to the participants level of experience and interests.

Activities could include:
*Forest Ride
*Lesson
*Gymkhana Games
*Grooming and Bathing
*Stable and Field Management
And many more!

Jam packed day full of fun activities. Please bring lunch and a drink and suitable outdoor clothing. Wellies/boots (we have limited footwear for loan). Riding hats provided.

We are fully licenced and insured against liability. Staff have certification in safeguarding children in sport and extensive first aid training.

About

Our small and friendly stables is set in the heart of Thetford Forest. We are able to offer riding to complete beginners aged 2 and up to a weight limit of 10stone. Our gentle rides with our well tempered ponies have direct forest access, and 1:1 support from staff. Sessions are generally private.

We also offer Home Education Sessions, Introductory Lessons, Stable management, Sessions for alternative educational provision, Pony Parties and more.

We had a lovely time this morning taking our three year old for their first proper riding experience. You could tell they are experienced with children and were clear with instructions. We had a lovely walk in the woods after meeting and brushing Cookie - thanks so much for making this easy and enjoyable, we will definitely be back!

Our 2year old absolutely loved Rupert the pony. The pony care and ride session was the perfect recommendation for a first timer like our LO. Rupert was such a beautiful and gentle pony. The trek in the forest was very calming and serene, and all the horses and ponies looked very healthy, happy, and well cared for. LO wouldn’t stop talking about Rupert. She felt so comfortable and confident she wants to go back again. Looking forward to our next visit.

We took our 3yr old for her birthday, and first pony ride, and it was perfect. Paid online the morning of and turned up to a field of horses. We did wait around for a while not knowing what to do, but eventually ponies and young children came back from a walk.
Helmets are provided and fit our 3yr olds head fine. Our daughter's pony was Rupert who was friendly and allowed our daughter to have a great 20/30min pony trek through the woods.

wow!!! what beautiful set up. my little girls were so excited. enjoyed petting the ponies before their 30 minute hack.
such good calm well behaved ponies. school is lovely size. staff are so friendly not like a 'normal' horsey yard you would walk into and people are snotty to you, but here your not judged, and everyone so nice, stables are huge and clean, toilet facilities are fine. (your normal portaloo) seating area is super comfy, overall the activity was well organised and well laid out.
Thank you for making my little girls so happy on their last activity of the holidays, what a way to wrap up the holidays!! well recommended 100%
